The Golden Gays are heading to Miami!

Very very exciting... today the “Girls” and I (plus the whole team that makes the show work) head to Miami for a weekend of shows at The Colony Theater. That’s right, I’ll be spending the next 5 days in South Beach with my GBFFs (gay best friends forever). These gals are such a blast and I’m so happy I’ve met them, become friends with them, and gone on this journey with them.

Blah blah yeah yeah it’s great to have friends but here’s even more exciting news: my role like quadrupled in size! We lost* a cast member (not Dorothy, Sophia, Blanche or Rose -- don’t worry) when we went to Palm Springs and after our desert weekend we were down one drag queen. But you know what they say, the show must go on until the fat lady sings! Soooo, it’s been rewritten to allow for me to play that role and, aside from a mis-use of words in this paragraph which implies that I am the fat lady in this scenario, I’m totally psyched!

* not “lost” as in can’t find or died or something horrible. “lost” as in excessive drag queen drama on behalf of an otherwise fabulous drag queen leading to an early finale for said drag queen.

The Naughty Show... Thursday 1/28 @ 10pm!

Once again, I’m the one-man band, the musical side-kick, the Paul Shaffer or the Max Weinberg (er, scratch that last one) for The Naughty Show. Throughout the night I’ll be onstage playing original theme songs, jingles and ditties (no, not titties). Though I look innocent, my catalog of hits fits right in with the theme of the show... tunes like "BJ’s Make The World Go Round" and "Change is Here: Black Guys Are Going Down Again" will make most people laugh, while making my mother wonder where she went wrong.

I’m excited to announce that I’m reprising my role as “Blondie” in the gay musical spoof of The Golden Girls: “The Golden Gays”!!!

We have 2 weeks of shows in LA... then a weekend in Palm Springs... and a weekend in Miami! LA Weekly called is “uproarious” and I wholeheartedly agree. If nothing else just go for Dorothy’s costumes, they’re insane.
